Technofill Additives has developed a series of
high performance static dissipative masterbatches. our masterbatches are used
to impart antistatic properties to their film used in electronics packaging.
it's can be fast acting to reduce dust attraction in food packaging and display
applications and can be formulated to give longer-term effects in demanding
applications such as flooring. it is available highly combined with antiblock
and slip products for use in the film industry allow cost effective and high
performance to be available for polyethylene and polypropylene film extruders
Antistatic
Masterbatch generally these additives work by migrating to the surface of the
polymer, usually in a molecular or multi-molecular layer, and attracting water
molecules from the atmosphere. The water lowers the surface resistivity from
the approximate value of 1014 - 1015 ohms for most polymers (including
styrenics and polyolefinics) to 1011- 108 ohms.
Antistatic Master Batch is incorporated into the
polymer during the extrusion process. Upon extrusion, the additive Master Batch
migrates to the surface of the film because of its definite incompatibility
with the polymer. Then it builds up a uniform layer on the film / product
surface and prevents the building up of static electricity. It also reduces
surface resistivity by migrating to the surface and absorbing moisture from the
air. Using Antistatic Master Batch will reduce or even eliminate the problems
caused by high surface resistivity These problems include:

handling problems during transport, storage and packing.
èDust
contamination, affecting both, appearance and performance of end products.
èRisk
of electrical shocks to employees working at the machines
èRisk
of electrical discharge causing fire or explosion
